Bake a file into a cake and pass through the bars...

No need to give up on domesticity just because you are a long way from home, check out this cinnamon teacake. Sure it looks fine, but it is a little burnt on the outside and a little doughy on the inside! Never mind, all part of having a "new" oven to contend with.
In other news, we have a house! At last after months of disappointed, first on the 'net and then in person, I have found a home that is so nice and comfortable compared to all that has gone before. Don't ask the price, it is a lot of £££, but I suspect worth every penny when the family arrives in 4 weeks. Hey family...hurry up!
I will try to snap a few shots of the school in the next few days, stay posted, and THANK-YOU ALL who have left a comment - very much appreciated let me tell you!

Hi Anthony
House & car & work - what more could you want? Well done. I saw Kym & family yesterday and caught up with your dental work and teaching situation. I'm don't kmow which sounded worse but I'm sure you will overcome both. The garden looks fabulous but its a pity you can't enjoy it yourselves. We leave for New Zealand in 10 days and I've got a bit to do before then. Travelling is great when you finally get there! The blog is a great way to keep up with what you are doing so I'll keep reading and send comments. Wendy Christensen

Hi Pecky

I imagine the domesticity of baking a cake gives some relief to an alien situation.....keep baking I say!

The house is looking a wee bit empty of late with desks...lounge suites...mowers...bikes....the camry ...all walking out the door so to speak....your mum thinks I have missed my forte!

We have Loretta arriving this Friday and the boys and I will move down to Hamilton Hill on Saturday.

The deathtrap/silver streak leaves tomorrow way to go Zoe!

Cheers

Howdy Ants

Pleased to see you are keeping up with your cooking skills - the boys said the cake I made was not as good as yours
Just checking to see if everything will fit in our suitcases as we seem to have gathered a lot of extras since we have been here.. But we are ok.
Went to Freo last night and enjoyed that - going again today to the markets.
Bye for now - will be in touch when we get home.

Take care - look after yourself.

Love ELP

Hey Dad
Hows England treating you?
Cake looks nice, it would be nice to have one here. Nan tried
but it was slightly wrong, hopefully she dosen't read this. Can you please put some pictures of the house on and the backyard sounds great.

G'day bloke

I am good I am keen on Singapore airlines I am really excited now but I guess I was two weeks ago. it turns out that I will miss out on talking into the camera you now how they put it up on the big screen, that makes me sad but I think that I have made my mark on the school and the teachers not literally of course. I am glad that I will miss singing in front of the school because it's an awful song and it gets stuck in your head.

Best of luck from Mitch

so good to know you are alive
