Manningtree and the river Stour
A beautiful Autumn day in September, and a lovely outing to Manningtree on the river Stour. Lots of boats, yacht races, motorcycle touring along the banks, fishing, walking, swimming, and just sitting and relaxing. A very pleasant spot and right at the northern tip of Essex (in fact across the bridge is Suffolk).Today is THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY and I have just learned that I have my little room at least until I move into the house - so that is such a nice surprise. On the downside, the choir's first performance is on Sunday at 10am mass, which means a) "holy unpreparedness", and b) I will miss the Oz MotoGP on telly! This has to be a setup - where are the cameras?

On the theme that life wasn't meant to be easy - the good times will follow the difficult and anyway it might be a blessing in disguise, with the ultimate outcome ending up being much better!
I can tell you this much, i.ll be relieved when you guys are together again. Kym and the kids are their usual great selves.
We are all missing you, hang in there. Love

Well you can't deny this process is definitely an experience!
Looking at next lot of sea freight tomorrow then total uplift on Wednesday.
Monty is settling in with Keith and Linda reluctantly....but Esther is doing her bit by spending time with him.

Hi Anthony,
Just caught up with your blog and loved the travelog of photos.Your house looks so cute.
Tell us about the school and what teaching is like vs the Aussie system [in case Dunc ever wants to give it a go].
Our news is minimal....with it being spring there is a lot of hitching happening.2 weddings so far and 1 to go.We are forever buying prezzies,but at least my flash frock has a few outings.
Kim is at the pointy end of TEE study and as such we are gaining some quiet confidence that we could sit the biol exam after listening to her prep.
So life continues in our comfy little rut.

Hi Julie and Duncan - that house is no longer ours, the owners pulled the plug when their move fell through, so now I am frantically looking for a house. The education system is, to say the least, interesting. If you do come over, make sure you are teaching in a private or grammar school. The comprehensive schools are very challenging! Anthony
