Most of my entries have been themed so far, but here is the end of the week scatterblog...the picture is of Mitch at the after a hard day of book buying at Hay-on-Wye in Wales.
Mitch and Jackson have survived day one at Bromfords - very tired boys though! Also during the week we have had Halloween - we had about six knocks at the door and various sub-teen faux-ghoulies and such pestered us for "sweets", which we duly doled out.
Every night for the last few weeks we have had fireworks going off around the neighbourhood in the lead up to Guy Fawkes Night on the 5th. The boys have a box of goodies each and we have been going down to the country park most nights to let off a few in keeping with the tradition.
Tomorrow, we go into London to have a ride on the "eye" and see Big Ben, the Bridge, etc. I also hope to get to the London Chess Centre, because now I am a member of the Wickford Chess Club which meets each Wednesday night. So far I have played 6 games and won 5 - not too shabby but I'll need to stay in shape for the challenges ahead.
The big news of the week (stand by for bold and capitalisation): I HAVE A NEW VISA AND NO LONGER NEED TO WORK AT GREENSWARD COLLEGE. There will be major employment developments in the light of that little gem!
