Hi everyone - well, I've been offered three jobs in the one week so we're sure that there is still life in the old boy yet! I haven't taken any of them as I have a more discerning eye at the moment. Kym is in the groove workwise and the boys continue to do well at Bromfords. They have restarted music, with Wednesday night set aside for trumpet and violin lessons, then a band session.
A bizarre story for you: when I started at Greensward College there was a young Australian from Canberra who started on the same day. He not only hailed from Canberra but we knew quite a few people in common, including my good friend Steve Lazar who is now working in an Aids orphanage in Mozambique. Paul only lasted about three weeks at Greensward, but we have been in touch a couple of times, including meeting up with him and his wife in London a few weeks ago. Well, today I was walking along in Ladbroke Grove on my way to an interview and there in the flesh was Paul, going for an interview AT THE SAME SCHOOL! There were two jobs available and we heard in the afternoon that we had both been offered jobs, which means that we could have easily ended up working together again, some 35 miles from the original school - all independently and in a city of some 7.5 million!!
