The 12 days of birthday

Accents may differ, but 12 year old boys are the same no matter what planet they are from. Kym and I are convinced of this after hosting four local lads last night. Our attempted brainwashing by exposure to AFL football failed, but they seemed to have a good time anyway. We finished the night playing cards, chess and the "laughing game". Overall it was a good night, and Mitch had a great time. Jackson had a rotten time as he came down suddenly with a nasty cold and was in bed by 7:30pm!
Today we trained it into Stratford, caught the DLR to Tower Bridge station and then waited in line for an hour to enter the London Dungeon. It wasn't a particularly gratifying experience, but I guess you have to do these touristy things - and the boys seemed to think it was OK (but not that scary as they were led to believe). We then made our way across the Tower Bridge and found a local eatery, before finding our way back home. Another nice Saturday in town.
Tomorrow it's off to church to sing in the choir, and then we are hosting Tom and Isobel for lunch (lamb roast of course!). I hope your weekend is just as nice...

Hi to all!
Pleased that everyone has had a good weekend. We have been celebrating Kathy's birthday with a bbq - good day was had by all sittting in the sun and drinking and eating - what more do you want?

I hope that all have a good week and will speak to you next weekend.

Love ELP and N

Hello to the Pecks,
Glad to hear the birthday went well. Have been visiting your 'blog' occasionally, thanks for letting us know about it.
Things are hotting up here as the end of year approaches, I hope you are enjoying your job there A. Great experience for you all. Imagine it is starting to get cold over there. You missed daylight saving! Well, keep experiencing and enjoying, CBE et all at ASC
