Kym in the hat is back!
Thank you to Susan, Vin, Ella and Devlin for the lovely birthday hat.....Anthony suggested I need to wear a flowing floral dress and be riding a bicycle with a basket....but this (see pic) is the best I could manage!I had one of those amazing days yesterday where the seemingly very unlikely happened!
I had my job interview with King's College for the position of Business Development Manager:Health. They had very specific requirements for an 8 minute power point presentation which I dutifully prepared and took along to the interview.....only to find that I could not open it!! So I gave my presentation from my trusty hard copies, and then followed with the 30 minute interview. As I was reaching Wickford station the assistant Director of Business Development rang me and offered me the job....extraordinary! They were very impressed that I did not panic in the face of the technology not working......little do they know that technology and I have a strained relationship at the best of times, so it was business as usual for me!
It is a very exciting weekend all around with Mitch being baptised tomorrow, and we are playing host to Marisol, Mitch's God parent, who will be staying with us tonight. We have also asked Tom and Isobel, Anthony's lifeline from the church to be stand-in grandparents for Mitch for the ceremony, and to join us for a celebratory lunch on Sunday. Very glad that my parents will be with us for Mitch's First Communion in June. Mum and Dad arrive on May 4 so we have been very busy organising visits to relatives and a tour through Europe for their 5 week visit to the UK.
Jackson had cricket training on the club grounds on Thursday. Unfortunately Mitch has some peculiar muscle problem through the week and was unable to train this week. They have their first game next Sunday.
Anthony is dutifully seeing out his last term at The Plume and looking forward to better things career wise.
In all, another extremely eventful week in the Peck household!
Missing you all, and catch you again soon
Cheers
Kym
