Cygnets Ahoy
The end of the weekend - where did it go? Well, a couple of beers and a movie or two on Friday night. Saturday was sorting and packing, and the usual pile of paperwork! We drove over to Hatfield-Peverel where Jackson had a successful interview at the Blue Strawberry Bistrot where he will be for two weeks of work experience as an apprentice chef, commencing on 7th July. In other Jackson related news, he is now on the French school trip with Mitchell's class group. We thought it'd be a great opportunity for him to have a last fling in Paris before we return. So both boys head off for three days on the 21st July.Today Mitchell went off for his first ever game by himself (which they unfortunately lost), as Kym and I had to scrub and cook in preparation for an Aussie onslaught. Three gap students plus Marisol and Michael dropped by for Lamb/Chicken roast plus an afternoon of beer and stories. We also went to the country park to feed the new cygnets (see pic). There was also a dog show going on at the park. The weather was magnificent, the company divine, and the food to die for...what more could you want? How about...not having to go to work tomorrow!
