Up the Emerald Isle!
Day 7 of our exodus from Wickford finds us at Parklands Farmhouse B&B just outside of Belfast at Carrickfergus. We have been availing ourselves of the ultra cheap transport options provided by Bus Éireann, including a €7 per person jaunt from Dublin to Belfast today - how do they do it? Whilst in Dublin we took in Trinity College and the Guinness Storehouse, as well as other city landmarks. Howth was brilliant and so picturesque. We are looking forward to the Giants' Causeway and other NE Ireland delights in the next day or two - from what we saw today in town, Belfast looks fantastic.A huge thank you to HSBC who flew a replacement credit card to meet me in Belfast today - just 4 working days after being notified of my loss - pretty good service!
The pic today is from Blarney Castle where we all dislocated our backs kissing the Blarney Stone - but do we really need more blarney in this family?

Hello the Pecks
Just got off the phone from speaking to you - good to hear you.
I don't think you need to kiss the Blarney Stone - you do pretty good without its help.
Pleased to hear that Belfast isn't as grim as we were told - we will have to pass that on.
Enjoy the rest of Ireland and Scotland to come.

Hello to you all,
Great to hear the holiday is going well, it is really hard to believe that you will be back in Perth in a few weeks. Looking forward to reading more blog instalments over the next few weeks.
